This resource is part of a growing BUNDLE, which is GREAT deal right now. Click on the link below to have a look:
-Many possibilities to differentiate. Here are some examples:
Choice of cards with easy or more difficult sight words
Choice of cards with numbers 1-20, 1-50 or 1-100
Choice of cards with alphabet a-m, n-z, a-z , lower case letters or upper case letters
-Can be used as an evaluation tool for reading sight words or for quickly identifying letters and numbers randomly
-Includes a colourful label to place on a container/bag where you will store the “Cartes à trous”
-Step by step instructions with photos and video preview
-Bright, vibrant clipart for this theme.
-Fun and engaging as students say the words/letters/numbers orally
-Students will not know that their cards are differentiated. Card design looks exactly the same for a particular activity
but the words, numbers or letters can be of a different level of difficulty if the teacher wishes to differentiate.
-Vocabulary has been carefully chosen. Sight words that students see every day in their levelled books are used. The
extra practice will also be helpful when students want to write these high frequency words.
-PERFECT for literacy centers. Get the cards ready, build your literacy corner and watch students fight to see who can
get to these first!
-Great for partner work, early finishers or morning work
-Another possibility is to send the cards home for students who need extra practice
-Set a timer and see how many cards a student can do in 30 seconds, 60 seconds, etc.
**The “Tourne et Lis” activities do not need much preparation except possibly laminating
*The “Cartes à trous” require a little more prep as you will cut each card and then punch a hole beside each word/letter/
number. It also helps to write the words/letters/numbers on the back so partners can check answers. You will agree that
once this prep is done and cards are laminated, the yearly use you get out of them will be WELL worth it!
