This handout asks students to translate 50 sentences. The sentences are designed to lead students through various changes in context that would require them to change the article they have chosen. For example: I like apples. I want an apple. I want some apples. I don't want any apples. I want some beautiful, green apples. I don't want any green apples. Students also challenged to recognize when to use de/d' (negative expressions, quantities, preceding plural adjectives). This is an excellent support or assessment.
Answer key is included.
