Basic French Speaking Review / Revision printable games. Beginning French vocabulary practiced with these resources includes Numbers to 100 (Les Nombres), Calendar (Les Jours, Les Mois, Les Dates), Classroom Objects (les Objets de Classe), Greetings and Introductions, Weather (La Meteo), Colors (Les Couleurs), and more. 5 ‘Serpents et Echelles’ gameboards, with differentiation. A fun activity, perhaps for the end of a term, start of a term, or at the end of the year.
Boards 1 and 2 feature French words to be translated into English, and Boards 3 and 4 feature English words to be translated into French. Board 5 has some pictures and multiple-choice answers to support less experienced or lower ability learners. As in traditional Chutes and Ladders / Snakes and Ladders, students roll dice to find out how many spaces to move. They travel down any Snakes or up Ladders as appropriate. However, they must return to the space they came from if they cannot correctly translate the word they land on (or picture in some cases in Board 5). Answer keys for all games are included, as well as instruction cards. Print and laminate boards and answer keys as required.
Any clues not managed could perhaps be looked up online or in a French dictionary. If using with a larger group, you might want to print the boards in 11 x17 (A3) but Letter size (A4) is fine too. Answer keys and student instruction cards are included.
