Ever get stuck on how to start a unit? Have trouble finding just the right book, with easy enough vocabulary? I found whenever I needed a book to teach or practise a new skill, my choices in French were limited.
This book is a great resource to teach children about the story element- settings.
The characters are two penguins who are lost, and on their way home, find themselves in a variety of different places. Each setting has 3 pages with pictures that students can use to identify the setting.
Penguin 1: Je suis perdu!
Penguin 2: Où sommes-nous?
Penguin 1: Je vois un renard, un lapin et un raton-laveur.
Penguin 2: Il y a des hiboux et beaucoup d'arbres aussi.
Penguin 1: Aha! Nous sommes dans la forêt.
Penguin 2: Je veux retourner chez nous. Allons-y.
On the first page of each setting, you can ask students "qu'est-ce que tu vois?"
On the 2nd page of each setting, you can stop and have the students identify where they think the setting is based on the pictures.
The third page of each setting gives the answer.
I have other books in my store to introduce new concepts or ideas in French.

Another book is about Natural structures
I also offer both books together for a discount.
