Included are various homework sheets such as identifying images and stating weather and appropriate clothing, pairing seasonal activities with times of the year/seasons, a crossword puzzle, and writing prompts on favorite holiday and ideal vacation.
There is also a "quick fingers" activity. In pairs, students fill in the baseballs with words from the accompanying list. To play, the paper stays between students who sit side-by-side with a hand behind their back ready to point to the word that is said. The teacher can say the word in English or give a riddle in the target language that is answered by a word from the list (i.e- Ensemble mars, avril et mai forment...). Students keep their fingers on the word they think it correct until the class reviews the correct answer. The student who pointed to the correct word first claims the baseball. The student with the most claimed baseballs wins. Penalties are assessed for a student who picks up his pen/pencil before the class reviews the answer or for pulling the sheet away from the other student.
