SEASONS MEMORY GAME
The object of the game is to match the appropriate picture with the correct season word.
Spread out the season word cards
face down on one side of the table or carpet.
Place the picture cards face down on the other side of the table or carpet. Students take turns taking one word card and one picture card. They say the sentence “ Oui, c’est le printemps (l’hiver, l’automne, l’ete)” or “ Non, ce n’est pas le printemps (l’hiver, l’automne, l’ete)”.
If it is a match (oui), then that student keeps the cards until the end of the game. I don’t usually make this a competitive game. However, if you wanted to, you could declare the person with the most pairs when all the cards are gone as the winner.
- 12 French month 2014, 2015 and Blank decorative Calendar Pages
You can use these Calendar pages for your own organization and in your Dayplan book.
Blank calendar pages: I use the blank calendars for a learning centre. Students create their own calendars. They write the numbers in the appropriate boxes by looking at a copy of the current calendar. They can draw the current calendar, with pizza days and other special events onto their calendar. They can make it personalized, and add any birthdays or special days onto their calendar.
Alternatively, they draw a small pictures of different activities they want to do in a future month (July). For example, they could draw a picture of a swimming pool, which would be appropriate. They could not however draw a picture of a snowman in their July calendar. It is a fun activity that gets students involved in planning and seeing time elapsed.
