Le Voyage de ___________________________ The Children's Story Book
Students create a set of characters who live in one of the French speaking countries – there are dozens in the front of our text book. There must be at least 2 characters who each must have a “typical” French name.
This is a story about traveling – by SOME means of transportation. Your characters:
A) Decide to travel to spend time together at one of their towns. OR
B) Decide to travel together to different French speaking location.
• You story will tell the narrative of the characters.
• The story will have a beginning, a middle and an end.
• They write the story as if the main characters are telling the story of this journey.
• The story will describe the setting and weather (which requires the imperfect tense in French) AND the character will retell specific events that happened while on the trip (requiring the use of the passé composé in French).
You will need to research what a child's life is like in the target culture and create an authentic and visually rich situation for the story's setting. For instance, in France, the SNCF is the national train system. In Switzerland, Belgium, Tunisia etc – the train system has a different name.
