This October, why not teach French Halloween vocabulary with my good value French Halloween BUNDLE?
INCLUDED IN THIS FRENCH CLASSROOM OBJECTS BUNDLE:
PRESENTATION: A substantial (100+ slides including games) and interactive PowerPoint lesson presentation to introduce or revise French Classroom Objects vocabulary. It includes teaching points about gender / plural of French nouns and the difference between using un / une / des , le / la / les and mon / ma / mes. It teaches children how to answer questions such as 'Qu'est-ce que c'est? (What it it?) and 'Tu as une gomme / un crayon?' (Do you have an eraser / pencil? etc). After the vocabulary has been introduced and key teaching points explained, further slides test the children's vocabulary before the answer appears on the click of the mouse. There are tasks for children to understand and talk about what is in pencil cases and bags. Also, two interactive games are included. Un Jeu de Kim (Kim's Game) is a memory game and works well with groups competing to be the first to write the correct French word on their whiteboard for the object that is missing. 'Frappez les Objets' is a 'Splat' game, where a small group of children compete to splat (or point at) the correct picture when the teacher reads out the French object.
WORKSHEETS AND PUZZLES: 3 worksheets, a crossword puzzle, and wordsearch, all with differentiated versions and answer keys. The versions of the worksheets for lower ability, less experienced or younger pupils contain sentence starters and / or word banks. The less challenging (1-star) version of the wordsearch has the first few letters of each French word that the children are required to find, while the more challenging version just has the words in English.
FOUR IN A ROW GAME: Print word card sets on different color card stock or paper (and laminate) for pairs or individuals to compete against each other, laying down a card of their color on the correct object. Each object appears twice on the board so children must think strategically to get 4 cards lined up in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to win.
BINGO: 16 different bingo cards for use by individuals or pairs. Teacher reads out the words in French and pupils mark off the object if they have it on their board. A list of the French words is included on the last page of the resource. Alternatively, these cards can be used to play Tic Tac Toe, with children using a dry-wipe marker to put their symbol over an object once they've named it aloud in French.
‘I HAVE, WHO HAS?’ CARDS / LOOP CARDS: All 18 words appear in this continuous loop. Children can start at any point and could complete as a domino activity or in various size groups as an oral activity (J'ai... / Qui a..?). Multiple sets could be printed on different color card stock for groups to race against each other.
JIGSAW PUZZLE: Print, laminate and cut up puzzle pieces for pupils to assemble into a large triangle. Available with a color background and with no background. If requiring multiple sets, print the no background puzzle on paper or card stock of different colors so the pieces won't get mixed up.
FLASHCARDS are also included for all 18 objects and can be printed if required.
Instructions for individual resources are included within the relevant file.
