Product Description
I created this lesson as part of my Les Miserables unit. In this lesson, the students read an excerpt from Les Mis (you can choose to omit that part of the lesson or read together as a class) and complete conversions on different amounts read in the novel. The students read about the sou, franc, and napoleon/louis. They do some conversions on the worksheet. On the back of the worksheet, the students read about France switching from the franc to the euro. Then the students do three conversions of Paris tours (connected to Les Mis) and how much it would cost them in U.S. dollars.

You can do this lesson independent of Les Mis. You can use the worksheet for math or economics.
