This activity is an interactive and competitive game that complements the textbook D'Accord 2 - Unit 1 but you could use it with any food unit.
To play the dice game, you will need one die, this printout and at least 2 players. Each player will need a different pen or pencil than the others. To start, everyone plays “roche/ papier/ ciseaux” in order to determine the winner. The winner will then roll the die trying to roll a six. If s/he rolls a six, s/he will say “J’ai roulé un six”. If s/he do not roll a six, it is the next player’s turn to roll once.
If a six is rolled, after yelling out “J’ai roulé un six”, that player will start to fill out this sheet as fast as s/he can.
Meanwhile the other players will be rolling the die once each trying to roll a six so that they too can fill out the sheet.
If the student forgets to yell out “J’ai roulé un six”, the others can yell out “Tu ne l’as pas dit!” and that player will lose their turn. The person who says “Tu ne l’as pas dit!” first gets to take the sheet away and continue to write on the sheet.
When a student is writing, s/he can correct a mistake that another player has written and will the earn the point.
When the team is done, they will yell out “Nous avons fini!” and the teacher will mark the sheet.
