French ER verbs : question mixer with mini-white boards activity

I use an activity similar to this in almost every unit. This one focuses on conjugating ER verbs and understanding that the French present tense translates into three different things in English. For example, Je danse is : I dance, I do dance, I am dancing.

First, copy pages 1-3 onto card stock. Cut out the individual cards and give them to each student. These cards are the SPEAKING SECTION of the activity.

Next, students will circulate around the room, finding different partners to work with. The individual cards tell the students what to ask and what their partner should write as an answer on his/her white board. After their conversation (one question each), they change cards before moving to a different partner.

Example in English :

Partner A : How do you say "I study"

Partner B : (writes answer on his/her mini-white board)

Partner A : (checks answer with what is on his/her card)
