Product Description
Looking for a way to review the imparfait and get your students to talk about their childhoods? Here's a fun activity to use. This activity is ideal for reviewing the imperfect since it provides students a structured format to get to know facts about the other members of the class.

In addition to two 5x5 speaking boards (one with follow-up questions and one without), this file also includes a pair interview activity, a vocabulary sheet to help review all the necessary vocabulary and a structured writing sheet for students to make sentences to then share out with the rest of the class. There is also a journal-style activity for students to use the vocabulary to write an extended response about what they did over break.

Directions: Students move around the room asking each other questions and trying to find as many positive responses as possible. If a student answers a question affirmatively, the question-asker will ask a follow up question and jot down both the information and the student's name in the square provided. For an added incentive, you can make it a competition and have students try to either fill as many squares as possible in a specific time limit or try to find answers in lines of 5 "Bingo" style!

For a follow-up activity, students can share out what they learned about their classmates' summers as well as share their own information.
