This was designed for a High School Level Two French class with no prior middle school French programs.
With 1,030 minutes of lessons planed this unit will last 2.5 weeks of a 90-minute block schedule or 4 weeks on a traditional schedule. The four lessons are formally written and address:

Unit Description: This is a project-based unit with a performance assessment. Students play the role of a restaurant owner who must develop a menu for their restaurant. Their menu must have at least five categories and twenty-five items all of which are authentic dishes of the target culture of their choice within the francophone world. The performance will include the students verbally suggesting good dishes and specialty items. There will also be a written presentation of the menu. To get there, students follow the journey:

Included in the tasks are stem changing verbs, article uses, irregular OIR verbs, and culturally relevant vocabulary.
