I have created vocabulary lists for dealing with les quatres groupes alimentaires. This aligns perfectly with the grade 6 curriculum in Alberta.
With these vocabulary lists, students are required to do some of the work. Sometimes the English column is filled in, sometimes the French column is filled in. They have to find whatever side is not filled in, or you could do it as a class. There are also blank spaces left at the bottom of the lists. When I give these out, I like to ask students to look up some foods for each category that THEY would like to know.
