This is a paired communicative "information gap" type activity in which students discuss their schedules & the showtimes of movies to arrive at a mutually agreed-upon time to see a different movie every day of the week.
-Partner A, Partner B & Teacher "Key" (Combined A&B) personal weekly schedules as shown in preview image. Both PDF and MS Word are included.
-Vocabulary/script handout. Both PDF and MS Word are included.
*The key doesn't include answers, per se, as student responses will vary.
As I cannot claim the rights to the movie program I used, here is a link where you can access it yourself for free (From the Etoile Palace in Vichy, France in summer of 2014) : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B48gAG70ZXBvMDRKeHNmZEc0aE5JZFVQVXpwbXE3cVVJNVB3/view?usp=sharing
1. Points de repère: Take a few minutes before the communicative activity to acquaint students with the authentic document (movie program). "Qu'est-ce que c'est que ce document?" "Quelles informations trouve-t-on à la page 1 (2, 3...)?"
2. Review vocabulary/script
3. Students should write in the movie on their schedule when they find something that fits.
I have included the MS Word version of the personal weekly schedules, so if you would like to adapt this activity to work with a different set of movie times, please feel free.
