Students really enjoy practicing irregular verb forms with this powerpoint activity. It is called "Contre la Montre." On each screen there is a task for students to complete. Some involves writing a correct verb from given a subject/infinitive (or the reverse)and others involve translation or writing the past participles. There is a timer set to 40 seconds. Students write the correct forms either on paper or on a mini white board. When the time is up the words disappear and the students stop writing. All of the animation is set to do this, all the teacher has to do is click once to start. After it is done the teacher can click once more and the correct forms come on the screen. The sample has the timer set to 10 seconds with 2 examples, but the slides in the presentation are set to 40 seconds with 6 examples. This includes many common irregular verbs taught in 1st and 2nd year French (etre, avoir, aller, faire, vouloir, pouvoir, voir, croire, mettre, prendre, sortir, partir, dormir, ouvrir, savoir, connaitre, dire, ecrire, devoir).
These Contre la Montre powerpoint activities sell individually for $3 or $54.00 for all 18 powerpoints. I offer them in a bundle at a 50% discount: $25.
