This test contains present, imperative, passe recente, futur proche, imparfait, passe compose, futur and conditionnel tenses. My students get a worksheet at the beginning of the week as a homework assignment. We start with several ER verbs and progress to IR verbs and RE verbs for French 2. They do their first few by doing only half of the sheet a week. The tests are also timed (10 minutes for half and 16 for the entire sheet.) We do these all semester to build their understanding of the formations and translations/usages of these key verb tenses. I usually start with parler and do ER verbs for several weeks before moving to IR verbs and finally RE verbs. After a few weeks, students have a great understanding of each tense and become very adept at completing these charts. At level 3 I add a few more parts and complete the chart with ER, IR, RE, stem changers and irregulars.
