This lesson was created to teach students the months in French and then synthesize this new vocabulary with knowledge of French numbers to create statements about birthdays. Prior instruction of numbers 1-31 in French would be necessary for the delivery of this lesson. The lesson culminates in a Bingo-like activity where students circulate asking basic conversation questions of their neighbors (e.g., 'Comment ca va?' and 'Quel age as-tu?'), so the culminating activity also assumes some prior instruction of basic conversation staples. The bingo sheet and a graphic organizer for recording the new vocabulary for the French months--and activating different parts of the learners' brains by asking for a visual representation of each month--are included.
