This lesson was developed to help students understand the use of ne...pas to make statements negative. While the lesson assumes some prior introduction to the basic concept, it can easily be adapted to both introduce and reinforce. Students first examine common errors via an entrance ticket, and then review common adjectives (resource provided as a handout). Then, the ne...pas formation is reviewed using a more physical cut-and-paste method that helps students to remember how and where to place the words when they are writing them. The lesson concludes with spoken application, where students speak out descriptions to a peer and receive feedback. All instructional slides and corresponding handouts are provided.
