French Numbers 1-100 PowerPoint Lesson Presentation. Scaffolds learning of Les Nombres / Les Numeros vocabulary (larger numbers now added too). Includes French mental math. Around 70 slides (plus additional slides for a bingo game). Originally made for beginners / near beginners in Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 but may suit other grades. Ideal for teaching or review.
For a BIG SAVING, this resource packet is part of two French Numbers BUNDLES – the COMPLETE one offers the biggest saving, and contains the presentation, worksheets, puzzles and games, but if you don't want the printable games, you could go for the second one. I have also listed my other French Numbers resources, which you can click on if you are interested. Further details about these crosswords can be found below these links:
The presentation breaks the numbers down into small chunks of ten at a time so that teachers can use whatever part of the presentation suits the needs of their class. There are recap slides at various points with tables of numbers and slides with numbers in French and English for pupils to translate, with answers appearing on the click of the mouse. There are slides with numbers in digit format to play a game of 'splat' where the teacher can call out a French number and children can compete in threes or so to hit the number on the whiteboard (if you're not using a touchscreen) but this can also be used for other teacher questioning. Slides for a bingo game on numbers from 60 to 100 have now been added. Pupils can make their own grid and choose numbers. Remember to randomize the slides again before each game.
The presentation also introduces some mental math in French, introducing words for 'add', 'subtract', 'multiplied by', and 'divide by'. There are some calculations using just numbers from 0-40 and then some using numbers to 100. For children to become really familiar with French numbers it's great to get them playing around with them in math activities. These slides would serve as a good introduction to using French numbers in calculations and could be developed by using some of my French mental math resources.
