French Passé Composé (Être) Scavenger Hunt Activity
Begin by cutting the verb form/infinitive pairs on the dotted line. There will be 20 strips. Place these slips of paper around the room in random places and in a random order.
Students work in pairs or individually. Each group gets a copy of the “1:Forme→Infinitif” or “2:Infintif→Forme” sheet depending on the version that you are using.
Version 1 (Forme→Infinitif):
Groups choose a verb form to begin on one of the slips of paper around the room. Groups can begin with any verb form because the hunt will make a loop.
Groups search the slips of paper around the room for the subject/infinitive that corresponds to the verb form that they chose. When they find the subject/infinitive there is a number under it, and they record the subject/infinitive next to that number on their sheet.
Groups then continue the activity with the verb form to the right of the subject/infinitive that they found. When all of the numbers on the sheet are identified the scavenger hunt is complete.
Version 2 (Infintif→Forme):
This works the same as Version 1, but students begin with the subject/infinitive and then locate the verb form.
