When I worked in a district with a French Immersion program, first grade teachers found students struggling to learn to read with no access to Resource Specialist support in French.
I created some similar worksheets for them, and they found them useful.
There are worksheet pages to target rhyming and beginning sounds. There are two tasks for each set of pictures; matching and exclusion. (They are the same words and pictures, but some kids have a harder time with finding the thing that is NOT X).
For more practice, copy two extra copies of each set to use for card games, such as “Memory” style games, “Go Fish” and “Old Maid” type games. (For the latter, remember to remove one card so that there is an “orphan”).
There is also a set of task cards for the same tasks. There is an answer sheet.
