This activity begins with a one-page reading about Luc's day. He goes many places and we read about the time that he goes to each place. After the class reads this together (or you can have them read in small groups), students work in small groups at several stations that help them to understand all that happens in the story. One station has them put sentences in order that they happen in the story, another has them match the times. In the story the times are written in words, but they are in numbers in the station activity. The last station involves writing something based on some RAFT choices (Role, Audience, Form, Theme-see sample). There is also a quiz included that can be done individually or in the small group. This is a great activity to get students reading early in their study of French and to solidify their understanding of telling time.
