This project is meant to be used during a French Revolution unit in a World Civilizations or World History class, but could also be implemented into a French History class as well. As students learn about the events of the revolution, they create a fictional diary as if they were living in the time period. They choose a role from one of the three Estates, then create an entry and a drawing that depicts how they were affected by the events of each stage of the revolution.
Document contains directions for the project, guidelines for how to write a diary entry, a planning sheet for students to fill out prior to writing the diary, and a rubric for assessing the project.
