Socratic Seminars are a great way for students to discuss, engage, and bring life to history in the classroom!
A typical Socratic Seminar or Fishbowl Discussion works with two circles: an inside and outside circle. The inside circle is responsible for debating the question, while the outside circle takes notes on the conversation. This particular product is well suited for closing out the French Revolution and giving students a chance to synthesize all of their learning.
This worksheet comes with two discussion questions, space for students to brainstorm evidence and counterclaims, a note taking section, reflection, and rubric for grading. The worksheet is adaptable for many different types of discussions in the classroom. Enjoy!
