There are TWO files in this download. The first file has 12 two-piece puzzles. Each side has one SI STATEMENT or one RESULT STATEMENT. All SI CLAUSES in this activity are from the first group—present to present/futur simple/imperatif.
Copy them on cardstock, laminate them, and cut them out. I always find a student aide to do this for me. My classroom is divided into 8 groups of 3-4 students so I made 8 sets.Give one set to each table and have them work together to make 12 logical, complete, two-piece puzzles.
The second file has a handout for students to copy the sentences they make. Once they copy them, they are asked to highlight the verbs.
I use these BEFORE I “teach” si clauses so that students can start to construct their own understanding of how these compound sentences work.
