I will let you do the math to conclude that this is an amazing deal!!
I created this resource out of a need for students to have fun while practicing fluency in speed reading sight words and words with the most common sounds (sons complexes).
Many resources available had an image as well as the word on the card for this popular, fun game. Given the choice, most students will take the easy way out by looking at the image rather than reading the word! So if you want your students to actually practice READING sight words in a fun, competitive, engaging way, this resource is for you!
Each resource in this bundle contains:
-Directions in how to prepare cards and play the game
-30 cards each containing 2 BOLD, easy to read words
-Directions in how to adapt this game for 15, 20 or 25 students. You certainly can use all 30 cards but I am giving you options. For example, you might want to use only 15 cards for a small group activity.
-A "title card" with the name of the specific game. This can be used to organize your games in bins or bags for your centers.
-A rubric where you can keep track of the date and the time required to complete the game. This encourages great competition as students try to beat their score from the previous day. You might even like to compete with another class in the school :)
**By having only words, without graphics, this resource is appropriate for ALL grade levels, even older students :)
**The vocabulary on each card has been carefully chosen. The first 15 cards of each game have the easier words. If you have students who have more difficulty, you can discretely hand them these cards. It allows for differentiation without it being obvious :)
