Encouraging students to feel comfortable to speak French in front of their peers is challenging. By using a game, students feel a bit more at ease because they aren’t focused on their performance. They are busy having fun!
This is a great game to assess student’s ability to speak and listen in French.
Materials: Each student gets a copy of the game card. It is a good idea to laminate them for long-term use. Use dry-erase markers, bingo chips or noodles to mark the clues.
Goal: The goal is to guess the “Personnage mystère” based on the oral clues given by the caller.
How to play:One student is the caller. The rest of the students are the guessers/listeners. The caller gives affirmative or negative clues*. As the caller gives clues, the listeners mark them off using a dry eraser marker, noodles, or bingo chips.
