For this activity, print the manipulatives (the cards) on cardstock and make as many sets as you want for your students. They can work individually, in partners, or in groups. Each card has a part of speech on it including subject pronouns, articles, prepositions, adverbs of negation and adverbs of frequency, and sports or activities. Pick three to five total activities for your students to practice (otherwise, it'll be a vocabulary overload!) and use the accompanying PowerPoint or just use the manipulatives alone.
Using the PowerPoint and manipulatives, students can practice forming a variety of sentences to describe their pastimes or interests. This activity focuses heavily on the verbs "faire" and "jouer" as well as adverbs of frequency (how often events occur). Make this into a competitive activity where students have to be fast to earn points OR use it as a no-stress activity to review these concepts.
