This "super 7" verbs jigsaw puzzle is a great way for students to remember the most important verbs in French in the imperfect tense while completing a challenging task.
The super 7 verbs in French that I've included are the following:
Location: était (was)
Existence: il y avait (there was, there were)
Identity: était (was)
Possession: avait (had)
Preference: aimait (liked)
Motion: aillait (went)
Volition: voulait (wanted)
After the puzzle is cut apart, students match the English and French translations of these important verbs which are on the side of each puzzle piece. Each side of the puzzle piece should match the pieces it touches. The easier puzzle should be 4 pieces by 4 pieces at the end, and the difficult puzzle should by 5 by 5. Four versions of the puzzle are included. There are two "easy" versions - one with words on all four sides of EVERY puzzle piece, and one with no words on what will be the completed puzzle's edges. There are also two "difficult" versions just like that.
*Would also be great for sub work or fast finisher work!*
Any questions, let me know! Enjoy! :)
