Get your kids speaking French from the very beginning of the year with this fun game that focuses on telling time.
Directions to Play:
Divide kids into groups of 3-4 and give each group an envelope with the clock cards and a copy of the answer sheet.
The first student should pull a card from the envelope. The student must look at the clock on the card and give the time in French. Group members verify that the answer is correct on the answer sheet. If the student is correct, they keep the card. Each card is worth a point. If they are not correct, the card is placed back into the envelope.
If a student pulls one of the three “Zut alors!” cards, they lose all of their points and must place all of their earned cards back into the envelope. (The “Zut alors” card does not go back into the envelope. It is now out of play.)
Play until all of the cards have been used then have students count how many cards they have. The winner is the student with the most cards.
