Product Description
This file include 14 different tic-tac-toe boards to review all forms of the French passé composé: avoir, avoir with irregular past participles, verbs with être, reflexives, and a mixture! Some of the boards include shaded squares for students to practice conjugative the verbs in the negative.

The game works just like tic-tac-toe, only you play all six boards at once. Students need a white board (or scrap paper), something to write with, and one dice per pair.

To play, students take turns rolling the dice to figure out which board to play on for that turn. Then, in order to put their mark in a square, they have to conjugate the verb in the form that matches the subject pronoun in the square that they would like to mark. If the square is shaded, the student must conjugate the verb in the negative. Their partner checks their work before allowing a mark to be made. This product can be used any time extra verb practice is needed. Students can turn in a list of their conjugated verbs as a formative assessment or just use a white board/scrap paper for extra practice.

A possible variation for this game would be to have students use the verb in a sentence in order to mark the square.
