First, these are all my own drawings (I use Painter 12 drawing program.)
These pictures are in color, and are meant to be used in with color for the activities.
There are 6 pages of pics/French. If you use 8 sets for 24 students, you will need 48 pages.
If you are not able to make color copies, you may want to bypass this.
This is my version of "Old Maid." My students like the idea of using flash cards for games like "Go Fish." So I decided to make my little version of "Old Maid." The "old maid" in this case is the " le monstre" card. I have used animals as my base.
I used the following animals and adjectives:
the big chicken, the big fish, the little fish, the good cat, the good cow, the young mouse, the young lion, the red cardinal, the orange giraffe, the funny monkey, the blue dog, the green elephant, the yellow cow, the French penguin, the American dog, and the monster.
As you can see, I mixed up adj. that go before and after, colors, size, nationalities, misc. adjectives from "Discovering French" L12.
Playing the game can be done with 2-3 players. Divide the cards between the players, and play "Old Monster."
As an extra, I put tiny pics of the larger pictures on the French side, because I have students who may not be able to identify the pics from the French words.
My students also LOVE to match the pics/French and time themselves!
I am sure you can come up with even more games!
