Investigation Style Lesson that builds inquiry! This is part of a complete unit: Causes of the Revolution Unit
These lessons focus on the skills of analyzing a historical event to determine the cause, course, turning point, outcome and effects.
In the first lesson students will learn these skills with a real life scenario then they will apply them when reading a text about the French and Indian War.
In the second lesson students will focus on the effect of the French and Indian War, in particular the Proclamation Act of 1763. Students will order the effects (tactile cards that they then cut and paste). The second lesson concludes with a skit (includes powerpoint scene backdrops) on how the Proclamation Act of 1763 effected the relationship between Great Britain and the colonies.
