In this project, students will get to draw a strange new animal found near their school. The animal is described in French using simple words and the translations of the vocabulary are provided for those who need it. Students have to draw the animal by reading the descriptions. The article has some blanks for students to write down whatever color they like for each body part.
In this project students will:
1- review the vocabulary of body parts in French
2- review the vocabulary of colors in French
3- review the vocabulary of animals in French
4- add an "s" and/or an "e" at the end of adjectives when necessary
5- learn and think about the adaptations of animals and how they help an animal
6- show their comprehension of French by drawing what the article asks.
7- have fun drawing a funny looking animal. Each student will have their own take on it and the results are incredible.
This is an easy reading comprehension evaluation because the picture they draw must correspond to the description of the article.
