This handout AND pg 2 transcript for teachers provides students with the change to listen to authentic francophone speakers of various ages, as they talk about various topics. This is for upper-level students. This activity is more of a process activity - the act of trying to decipher and making an effort to put into words what the speaker is saying is more valuable to the grading rubric than actual correctness. This can be done in a lab, individual device, or as a class. A great lesson for phonetic awareness, dialects, and helping students with their resistance to authentic French speakers when they are overwhelmed.
