If you need a fun way to assess your students' use of the imparfait, you and your students will LOVE this project! Quizzes and tests are great for assessing memorization, but my Quand j'étais petit project will help your students put these new verbs into context which will help them to REALLY retain what they have learned!

Students create and present a PowerPoint about what they were like at a younger age. Directions are provided in French and English. With each language, you will also get two copies of the directions pages: One as I use it in my class (students choose 10 out of 15 questions with 2-3 sentences each). The other is left open for you or your students to complete. You can do as many or as few of the questions as you like!

Sample questions are:

*Qu'est-ce que tu aimais faire?

*Avais-tu des animaux domestiques?

This resource also includes:

*pre-writing and rough draft pages to help students organize work before typing the presentations

*7 speaking and writing rubrics you can choose from to meet your grading style

About the rubrics:

*Detailed rubrics aligned with AP French and Pre-AP French skills for both the speaking and written portions of this assignment (2 options - one with point values assigned and another on a 5 point scale that will allow you to set your own total point values)

* Three traditional rubrics for speaking and writing if you prefer chart-style rubrics. There are two speaking rubrics. One has a specific requirement of new vocabulary used (10 words) and the other does not.

⚠️This document is not editable and will not be provided in an editable format. Thank you for understanding.
