Product Description
This “Morocco matching game” is played in groups of about 5 students and can be played as a shorter game or a longer one depending upon how many “cards” you choose for each group of students. There are 58 pairs of “Morocco” related picture cards to use. Vocabulary is written on each card to help with “cultural” vocabulary development.

Cultural pictures include a variety of sites, monuments, and life in and around Morocco. Asking students to read the name of the card out loud when it is their turn also promotes French oral work. More advanced students can also be asked to add a detail about the culture card that is chosen with each game turn.

The cards are in French; the teacher directions are in English to allow for non French speaking teacher replacements.

All cards are put face down on the table and each student takes a turn to flip over 2 cards. If the 2 cards are identical they get to try again. If not, it is the next student’s turn. The goal is to get as many pairs as possible.

NOTE: These cards can also be the starting point to an on-line research project focussing on Morocco.

This game can be played with beginner or more advanced French language students.
