Who doesn't like playing games? How about including games in teaching languages to make it more fun and more engaging for our language learners?

I have been using Snakes and Ladders for years with my students for different purposes! It is easy and quick to put in place and my students get crazy about having some competition in class!
It is a brilliant tool to review vocabulary and questions.

Your students will have so much fun with this Snakes and Ladders boardgame that they won't notice that they are actually learning and recycling the language.

I suggest you use them at the beginning of your lesson to check their prior knowledge or as a wrap-up activity to engage them in active speaking activities.

You just need to print the boardgame grids X the number of players.
NB: You can use either the colored one -so that you can project it to play with your complete class, or you can use the one with symbols which is better for printing.

Cut the questions cards and pass them to your students (They will end up with 3 sets of questions that are color-coded).
Your students roll the dice and answer the questions
The first student that reaches the last square of the boardgame grid wins!

Tip: Laminate the cards. That way you can use them over and over again!

Here's what you will get with this snakes and ladders game:

- 2 boardgame grids for beginner or pre-intermediate students (little knowledge of French) LEVEL: A1-A2 about:
• self-introduction
• favorite sport, actor, movie
• family, pets..

- 40 questions organized by level of difficulty: Green-easy, Orange-more challenging, Red-challenging

- the rules of the game to be printed for your students
