Description
French Find someone who... adjectives is a great formative assessment for French 1 students. Students use the common adjectives vocabulary and the verbs avoir and être to communicate in French. It is a great way to get your beginners speaking French! Also included is a speaking rubric and a printable sheet with these questions that you can use as a speaking assessment or as a follow-up homework assignment!
Vocabulary used is basic in most French 1 books, but to make your job easier, a printable vocabulary sheet is included!
This resource includes:
*Printable vocabulary page
*Find someone who... with English directions
*Find someone who...with French directions
*Oral evaluation sheet (or follow up homework assignment) with printable practice page for students using Est-ce que only + a sheet with Est-ce que and inversion
*2 Grading rubrics One in French and one in English
*Numbers you can print and put in a box to have students randomly answer questions
Directions:
The students move around the room asking classmates about themselves and their friends/family. If a classmate responds with positively in a complete sentence, he/she puts her initials. If the response is negative, the classmate still needs to respond with a complete sentence, but does not sign the paper. Activity continues until all boxes are filled.
As a follow up, I collect the papers and call on the students who have signed the papers. It allows them to practice before being asked to speak in front of the class, and it holds them accountable so they are not just signing their names without really participating in the activity.
