If you are teaching the weather expressions to beginners, you are probably trying to find some ways to make it fun! If you have more advanced students, there is an all-French version!

This weather project and presentation allows you to assess written and oral skills while bringing French geography and culture into your classroom.

Students are asked to create a map of France on a posterboard. In teams of 2, students act as meteorologists to create a weather report in French in which they present the weather in selected cities.

Here is a summary of the project:

1. Students research cities and their weather.

2. Students create a poster of France and choose 4 cities to report on.

3. Students write the script for their report.

4. Students memorize and present their report to the class.

Includes directions, pre-writing pages, grading rubric, and a printable list of vocabulary terms. Includes a full-French version that is perfect for more advanced classes or French immersion + an English version for beginners!

Now includes a rubric with EDITABLE point values so you can add in your own points. Please note: No other parts of this document are editable and I am unable to provide and editable version. Thank you for understanding.

It is a favorite in my class each year, and it brings together many skills all at once!
