Description

This assignment is a great way to get your students thinking about the science of friction and how it plays a crucial role in sports. In this assignment students will:

1) Watch a Winter Olympic sports video clip and explain how friction is involved in the sport of Curling. They will use the CER (claim, evidence, reasoning) format which will require them to argue from evidence.

2) Select a sport and write about the type of friction involved and whether or not players try to increase or decrease the force of friction during the game
