This includes a one - page reading passage about the life and art of famous Mexian artist, Frida Kahlo. I wrote it for my level II students (who are already familiar with the preterite tense) so they could learn something about culture while reading something comprehensible to them.
There are also 24 task cards (each with several questions/tasks related to a specific part of the text) and an optional 'backing' for these cards so they're not see-through. These range from answering questions in English, answering questions in Spanish, fill in the blank sentences, using context to decipher meanings, explaining the importance of given terms, etc.
All of these questions are also listed in worksheet style. You may choose to use the worksheet completely separate. Sometimes, I do the task cards in class and assign parts of the worksheet for homework. Another idea is for students to use the worksheet while they do task cards and record answers as they go.
