What educators are saying

This was a great resource. The visuals for the parts of a letter really helped the students remember. They loved the flip book. I will definitely be using this again. Thank you.
Great resource to help teach letter writing! My kids loved the flipbook and keep it in their writing folders to help remember the parts of a letter!

Our Friendly Letter Unit includes the 10 friendly letter writing activities below.

2) Friendly Letter Writing Organizer Page: Students write a friendly letter using this page with the letter parts aligned to a body to help them organize their letter correctly. (Includes labeled and non-labeled page)

3) You've Got Mail Brainstormer: A prewriting page for a friendly letter unit.

4) Around the World with Friendly Letters: Students play this whole-class game to review parts of a friendly letter. (Includes 28 cards)

5) Closings Sign: A sign to post as a reference to help students vary their word choice for closings depending on their audience.

6) Letter Writing Checklist: A checklist to have available for students to check their letter before turning in or publishing.

7) Letter with Envelope: Students write a letter on the right-side of this page, then fold into an envelope to address for mailing!

8) Friendly Letter Writing Prompt Cards: A set of 37 cards to spark letter writing ideas! Great for a writing center or "stuck" writers.
