Use for fluency practice or as a formative assessment
Each student gets a copy of the blank answer grid.
Cut and display the lettered Friends of Ten problems around the room. Each student starts at one number.
On their answer sheet, the students write the number that is needed to make ten.
Give the students a specified amount of time at each card. When you say, “SCOOT!” students rotate to the next
problem card and write the answer on their sheet.
Give the students 30-60 seconds at each card;
the game is meant to be quick moving.
