This is a yummy way to create classroom community while reinforcing positive behaviors.
Included is a recipe for Friendship Salad and the story to relate it to those classroom behaviors you want to encourage in your classroom. Also included are a poster you can use as an anchor chart, pages for students to make their own poster. Two options for students to write their own book and recipe for Friendship Salad. There is a bubble map for rotten banana behaviors and table to list the positive behaviors.
This is GREAT for the beginning of the year, but can be used at any time.
It takes me about half an hour to make and eat the Friendship Salad, then another 40 minutes (in Kindergarten) to make the recipe book.
Included are both black and white and colored versions of the ingredients.
