This friendship song was originally inspired by a student who always brightened my day. It was then discovered by a fourth grade student - across the country - who insisted the lyrics were also about the goodness in everyone's heart. "Even bullies can learn to find the good parts of themselves and change for the better." Wow!
Mia's sweet take on these lyrics and insistance that she teach it to all her classmates motivated me to put our Brighter Blue friendship song on TpT for other teachers to share with their own kiddos.
Use this song as lovely background music to brighten up your classroom and your kids - especially on rainy days of any sort! Use it to remind rougher kids about the sweeter side inside themselves they can always find. Use it to remind everyone that what they say effects others deeply, so be sure to say sweet things!
Music Teachers:This song has proven popular with singing students. It's also a fun group sing. Boys like it too! It always puts everyone in such a sunny mood.
