These holiday themed task cards (20+4 blanks) give you a chance to directly teach and discuss those awkward moments that can happen in friendships...with a fun holiday twist.
Some example themes:
-receiving a gift you don't like
-attending a school dance
-not being invited to a social event
-seeing a friend being singled out
Students will actively engage in conversations with peers and/or a group facilitator to discuss what they would do when they end up in a friendship faux pas. This resource can also be used as a social skills game in a small group, or as a morning work task.
Some cards ask students to deal with cultural differences. It's recommended that you review all the cards before presenting them to your group to ensure that they are appropriate for their particular skill sets.
I've designed these cards to target my students in grades 5-8, but older students still struggling with some social skills basics would definitely benefit as well!
