This pack contains over 75 images of various species of frogs and toads. They are 300 dpi .PNG files with transparent backgrounds - perfect for resizing and layering. Each frog comes in full colour, greyscale, and line drawing format.
Frogs are incredibly interesting to study. There is such a wide variety of frogs and toads all over the world. I was surprised again and again as I researched different species, and overwhelmed as I tried to make a manageable list.
Included in this pack are 16 different species of frogs and toads from all over the world. There are several common North American varieties, and a collection of interesting varieties from all over the place. I even have my interpretation of the prehistoric, giant frog - Beelzebufo!
Included in this pack are the following species:
- Green Frog
- Northern Wood Frog
- Vegas Valley Leopard Frog
- American Toad
- Red-Eyed Tree Frog
- Goliath Frog
- Yellow-Banded Poison Dart Frog
- Fire-bellied Toad
- Purple Frog
- Turtle Frog
- Glass Frog
- Venezuelan Pebble Toad
- Surinam Toad (Pipa Pipa)
- Bornean Flat-headed Frog
- Argentine Horned Frog (Pac Man Frog)
- Beelzebufo (pre-historic frog - artists rendition)
I also have included clip art showing the life cycle of a standard frog - five images showing the development from egg to tadpole to frog!
I tried to choose frogs that would be interesting for students to research, along with some common ones a student might find in her neighbourhood. The Bornean Flat-Headed frog has no lungs! The Surinam toad gives birth through holes in its back! The Venezuelan Pebble toad tucks into a ball and rolls away from predators!
I hope you find good use for these with your class, or in creating teaching materials for other teachers to use.
