Use the provided statements with the Venn diagram to compare and contrast frogs and toads within a science unit, or use it to compare and contrast the characters in the famous stories by Arnold Lobel. I have used this as a whole class pre-assessment on the overhead projector or smart board to see what the students already know about frogs and toads, and as a wrap up activity to see what they have learned. I call out the sentence and we find the words together and the students decide which bubble of the venn diagram to put their sentence in. You can also use the venn diagrams for students to write their own sentences about frogs. Students love making the frogs. They can write on the frog's tummy with the lined grid (included).
